Good for the Body – Motivation Monday

There is hardly a quote I can think of that better sums up the balance of physical and spiritual wellness and how dependent they are on each other. When I neglect one or the other, I feel it big time, but when I neglect both… that’s when I find myself in a bad place. I find myself slipping more easily into sin, I’m more quickly dragged back to bad habits, I feel down and I know that when I am in that kind of place myself, it affects my family as well. I am a better mom, a better wife, a better friend, and a better Christ follower when I take care of myself physically AND spiritually.

Happy Monday, loves!

PS: Shout out to my sweet baby who turns ONE today!! Yikes!

Top 10 Christian Songs for Working Out

Why is it so hard to find songs that are fun to work out to but aren’t totally inundated with curse words and/or vulgar messages? Sometimes it just get old. And it’s not just your little one’s ears you need to worry about! The Bible instructs us to guard our eyes, ears, and hearts.

Oh be careful little ears what you hear….

That being said, here

is a top 10 list of my favorite Christian songs to workout to; admittedly a little heavy on the Christian rap, so forgive me. I’d love to hear any other suggestions in the comments! I know I’m always in need of some new additions to my workout playlist… and let’s be real, I use the same playlist for cleaning the house. It’s that good… and Lord knows I need the motivation. Ugh, cleaning.

It’s Christmas Time

I absolutely love Christmas. I always have. Gift giving is totally my love language, too, so a holiday that is celebrated by giving gifts to EVERYONE I love? Perfect!

It’s also a super busy, super rushed, super fast season that is so easy to get caught up in, as we all know. The older you get the crazier it gets, and apparently, as I am just learning this year, Christmas with a kid is a whole different experience. Especially as a Christian mom, it’s hard to know where to draw the line in terms of “secular” Christmas. How do we talk about Santa Claus? How do we talk about the Christmas story in a way he will understand? How do we show him Christmas is not all about getting presents, it’s not even all about giving presents, but it’s about celebrating the birth of our Lord, Jesus?

Motivation Monday – 11/21/2016

Happy Monday! Ok let’s be real, I hate Mondays, even on a short week like this one (yay, Thanksgiving!), and I could really use something to make me feel good, get me ready for the week, and remind me that God will get me through whatever the coming days hold for me. Chin up, chest out! It’s gonna be a good week! -K
